How to Make Tzatziki in 3 Easy Steps

Making Greek tzatziki sauce is simple and only requires about 5 minutes from start to serve.

Step 1: Cut the cucumber lengthwise and scrape out the seeds.

Step 2: Grate the cucumbers, put them in a tea towel or muslin cloth, and squeeze to remove the excess liquid.

Step 3: Tip the grated cucumber into the bowl with Greek yogurt then sprinkle salt and black pepper. Use a garlic press to mince garlic onto the yogurt, lemon, vinegar, and olive oil before mixing well; and storing in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • 1 cup of Greek yoghurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 small minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (substitute with white wine vinegar)
